Modernist Gold and Keshi Pearl and Diamond Convertible Brooch Necklace, 1960s

Mid century modern choker necklace featuring an abstract gold plaque. The 1 1/2″ gold abstract designed pendant/brooch enhanced with 8 round white diamonds on a detachable 13 1/2 twisted 9-strand Keshi pearl necklace. This three- dimensional ,highly textured brooch exhibits an array of the goldsmiths techniques. Casting, sheet gold, engraving and granulation enrich the design of this luscious piece of wearable sculpture. Keshi Pearls, made up entirely of nacre, are a close relative to the much desired natural pearl. They are known for their warmth and flattering luster. The juxtaposition of the baroque pearl torsade with the brutalist jewel is a stunning combination. Elegant and Unique. Signed with an unidentified makers mark. 18ct .( see photos)

Can I simply say what a relief to discover somebody who truly
understands what they’re talking about on the web.
You certainly understand how to bring an issue to light
and make it important. More people must read this and
understand this side of your story. It’s surprising you aren’t more popular
since you most certainly have the gift.
