Salvador Dali for Piaget, a smart pair of gold cuffllinks. Each 1″ 22k yellow textured circular disc depicting profiles of Salvador Dali and his wife Gala on an 18k hinged cufflink fitting by Piaget. Inspired by “Louis d’or” coins created for Louis XIV, Dali D’or was a personal currency designed by Dali in 1966. In 1967 he collaborated with Piaget to use the coins in watches, cufflinks and earrings.Each coin is numbered 1 ,dated 1966 and marked HF (900 for 22k), the cufflink mechanism signed Piaget. A wonderful and collectable piece of artist jewelry. 36g (similar to a smaller pair we sold earlier)
